Welcome, here is where I will place various poems some from other sites and other of my own. This is simple, to find
poems about a specfic thing look for the headings entiled such as *Fairy Poetry* for poems about fairies this is really self
explanatory. If you saw a poem that you liked on one of my other pages and its not gone dont panic it'll be right here! I
like to update my pages often and give them a new fresh look and plus i like to have new things to read and such on them as
often as possiable and one of the easiest ways to do that is to change the different poems on the pages once in a while. But
every poem you find on any of fantasy gardens pages will end up here to stay! So as much as the other pages update this one
does too!
Poems that are taken from other sites I will place links too on the bottom of this page NOT on the links page. So if you
are looking for a link back to your site for poetry reasons look on this page. Typically peoms that are in different font
styles are not my own and were taken from another site please keep this in mind but always check at the bottom for the auther
and copyright dates please.

Down at the bottom of the Garden
Have you ever thought at night as you lay down your head, about the
little fairies down by the garden shed? For as you slumber sweetly on your pillow stuffed with feathers, those little
sprites are having fun in just about all weathers! Leap-frogging the toadstools. Showering in the rain. Diving
in the puddles. Jacuzzi in the drain! Flying with the butterflies. Dancing in a ring. Catching jars of moon dust. Flying
on a wing.
Floating on the snowflakes. Skating on the ice. Sliding down the rooftops. Riding little mice. Curling
up in flowerpots, hide and seek theyll play, until the sun begins to rise and dawns the brand new day. Behold
the magic garden, enchantment seems to fade, though nature blossoms bountifully the sprites no longer play, but when
the sun starts sleeping, and the moon arrives at eve, then If you watch real carefully, like me youll soon believe. ©

Keep Three Wishes Ready
- Anette Wynne
I
keep three wishes ready, Lest I should chance to meet, Any day a fairy Coming down the street.
I'd hate to
have stammer, Or have to think them out, For it's very hard to think things up When a fairy is about.
And
I'd hate to lose my wishes, For fairies fly away, And perhaps I'd never chance On any other day.
So I keeep
three wishes ready, Lest I should chance to meet, Any day a fairy Coming down the street.
The Child and the Fairies
- Author Unknown
The
woods are full of fairies! The trees are all alive; The river overflows with them, See how they dip and dive! What
a funny little fellows! What dainty little dears! They dance and leap, and prance and peep, And utter fairy cheers!
I'd
like to tame a fairy, To keep it on a shelf, To see it wash its little face, And dress its little self. I'd teacher
it pretty manners, It always should say "Please"; And then you know I'd make it sew, And curtsey with its knees!
The Life of a Fairy
Come follow, follow me, You Faerie Elves that be, Witch circle on
the green; Come, follow Mab your Queen; Hand in hand, let's dance around, For this place is Faerie ground.
Upon
a mushroom's head Our table-cloth we spread; A grain of rye or wheat, Is manchet, which we eat; Pearly drops of
dew we drink In acorn-cups fill'd to the brink.
The grasshopper, gnat, and fly Serve for our minstrelsy; Grace
said, we dance a while, And so the time beguile; And if the moon doth hide Her head, The glow-worm lights us home
to bed. author unknown, from Poems for Children, copyright 1946 .
Finally
A beauty of white
One spiraling horn, an undying believe
A virgin maiden, a hidden thief
An untimely death
An unmoral theft
You gave her your trust
now your body lies blood spilt in the dust
Finally today, your admired
Its your beauty they seek, no longer your horn they desire
young girls dream of thee
and peacefuly you live in a world of fantasy

Neptune (god of the sea)
The mystical god of the deep blue sea When nymphs marveled the ancient earth And
little mermaids reigned carefree From pristine lakes to Atlantis sea When no human species spoiled the
soil And minotaurs still roamed around Unicorns raced freely with the solar wind And centaurs
charged with blazing speed. But the celestial sun sealed the fate of man One mighty swoop wrestled Neptunes
arm Pristine lakes became lava of death Atlantis transformed into ocean red The nymphs and
mermaids are now gone Unicorns and centaurs all vanished too Some transformed into birds and thud
Other species fossilized in sun and mud Only the whales and sharks faithfully bide To remind
us of sea god once upon a time.

In This Land of Mythical Sanctuary
Unicorns graze alone in quiet clearings
centaurs watch and talk softly
In this land of mythical sanctuary
Faeries flit from bud to bud
Dragons flame and roar violently
In this land of mythical sanctuary
Plants, animals and in-betweens
live and thrive, wild and free
In this land of mythical sanctuary
Extinction unknown
Death naturally
In this land of mythical sanctuary
For the creatures the world has left behind
for all the living things peace there will always be
In this land of mythical sanctuary

The Stolen Child
WHERE dips the rocky highland
Of Sleuth Wood in the lake,
There lies a leafy island
Where flapping herons wake
The drowsy water-rats;
There we've hid our faery vats,
Full of berries
And of reddest stolen cherries.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping
Than you can understand.
Where the wave of moonlight glosses
The dim gray sands with light,
Far off by the furthest Rosses
We foot it all the night,
Weaving olden dances,
Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro we leap
And chase away the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And is anxious in it's sleep.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping
Than you can understand.
Where the wandering water gushes
From the hills above Glen-Car,
In pools amoung the rushes
That scarce could bathe a star,
We seek for slumbering trout
And whispering in thier ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop thier tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping
Than you can understand.
And with us he's going,
The solemn-eyed:
He'll hear no more the lowing
Of the calves on the warm hillside
Or kettle on the hob.
Sing peace into his breast,
Or see the brown mice bob
Round and round the oatmeal chest.
For he comes, the human child,
To the waters and the wild
With faery, hand in hand,
From the world more full of weeping
Than he can understand.

Overheard on a Saltmarsh
- Harold Monro
Nymph,
nymph, what are your beads? Green glass, globin. Why do you stare at them? Give them me.
No.
Give them
me. Give them me.
No.
Then I will howl all night in the reeds, Lie in the mud and howl for them.
Golbin,why
do you love them so?
They are better than stars or water, Better than voices of winds that sing, Better than
any man's fair daughter, Your green glass beads on a silver ring.
Hush, I stole them out of the moon.
Give
me your beads, I desire them.
No.
I will howl in a deep lagoon For you green glass beads,I love them so. Give
them me.Give them. No.

Fairy poetry:
Fairy, Fairy
Fairy, Fairy of the breeze
Won't you grant one wish for me? I wish to be just like thee
With tiny wings and a voice to sing
To flutter freely as I please
A lil fairy of the sea
Fairy, fairy grant me this one wish
To live my life like yours in bliss
Lil child can't you see?
I can't let you be just like me
I can't grant you your one wish
Think of the family whom you'll miss
You'll lose your friends
and have a broken heart to mend
You won't find love
If you fly on wings above
Fairy, fairy if what you say is true
My days would surly be blue
So here I will stay
But i won't forget thee, I will look for you with each passing day
Lil child your heart is kind and your word is true
So I'll tell you what I will do
I will let you visit us
Till you grow too old and tall, then leave you we must
but not without a gift
A bag of fairy dust to which you may sift
Till you find a charm
Your memory of us you will lose but it will cause you no harm
A silver Fairy with a vivle of dust
Within your memory of us
O fairy! I don't want to think you not real
But I will take your kind deal
And when I grow too old and tall
And my imagination is dull
I will take your gift
and through the dust I shall sift
And place the charm with my memory of thee upon a string
And wear it always so your apart of me
O child! what kind words you say
I will visit with these passing days
And if what you say is true
I will always be with you

Where?
Where are the fairies? Where can we find them? We've seen
the fairy-rings they leave behind them! When they have danced all night, Where do they go? Lark, in the sky above, Say,
do you know? Is it a secret no one is telling? Why, in your garden Surely they're dwelling! No need for journeying,
Seeking afar: Where there are flowers, the fairies are! "Author Unknown"
Night Dancers
- Thomas Kennedy
Their
quick feet pattered on the grass As light as dewdrops fall. I saw their shadows on the glass And heard their voices
call.
But when I went out hurrying To join them, they were gone. I only found a little ring Of footprints
on the lawn.
Have you ever watched the Fairies?
-
Rose Fyleman
Have you watched the fairies when the rain is done Spreading out their litting wings to dry them in
the sun? I have, I have! Isn't it fun?
Have you heard the fairies all among the limes Singing little fairy tunes
to little fairy rhymes? I have, I have, lots and lots of times!
Have you seen the fairies dancing in the air And
dashing off behind the stars to tidy up their hair? I have, I have: I've been there!

the ones taken from this site I will attempt to set up a system as to who's poems belong to what site but for now your going

THE SEA NYMPH
I walked upon the rock strewn shore and
watched a soaring gull as a great red globe of daybreak sun shone scarlet on a hull
On rounded rocks as high as a man the
waves came roaring in. A spray cloud rose each time of crash and drifted on the wind
As each great wave rose over the rocks upon
the sandy shore, a hundred tiny fiddler crabs ran sideways up before.
Then water ran down in myriad streams as
the waves rolled back beyond and the fiddler crabs came running back through each small frothing pond.
It was there that morning I saw the nymph
there standing on the rock, her naked skin there striving for nature's secrets to unfrock
A crimson mist around her glowed while
red rivulets ran down her breast then with arms outstretched up to the sky she embraced each wave upon
her chest.
The long raven hair streamed in the wind
like banners from a staff while high above a gull was heard to cry and sing and laugh.
With piercing eyes she saw me there and
her lips became a smile. She beckoned with her open arms while waves crashed all the while.
As the sun rose up into the sky and
lost its crimson hue, the vision faded and mist turned white with shades of ocean blue.
Then out beyond the rocky shore where
the water rose smooth with swell I saw a dolphin rise in arc and heard its shrill farewell.

Symphony Of The Sea
The smoky breath of Poseidon,
Billowing over wintered wings.
Gracefully touched by ice maidens,
Silent thoughts magically sing.
The mother's crystalline wine,
Flows over verdant isles.
Glimmering like an ancient shrine,
A mirror expanding endless miles.
A melody floats upon the tides,
Lingering within cool sprays.
Upon creamy foam the tune rides,
And silver notes gently raise.
Sweetened with an aqua hue,
The mermaid song plays on.
Secrets of the depths are viewed,
Unlocked by the coming dawn.
A symphony soars within the light,
Sea nymph voices floating high.
Within the sound I hear her might,
Echoing where ocean meets sky.
The crystal opera begins to fade,
Becoming now a hymn of the sea.
Memories fall in a final cascade,
Reminding that the song shall always be.

A childs eye
As you gaze into a childs eye
there is a certian twinkle you might spy
Within that twinkle is a magical world
Where innocence lives in blossom curls.
Mermaids swim in oceans blue
Little elves who don't cobble shoes
Fairies who flutter on the summer breeze
Unicorns tread in ease.
A world where princess' always find their prince
a world where no face twists into a painful wince
A treasured world in a glimpse of a child eye
A world we all too soon let pass us by.
